I'm so disappointed in the new items...

I hate to be a spoil sport, but... I think that most of the new things are ugly! What were they thinking withose cheetah outfits?!?! Both sets are hideous in my opinion, but especially Bitty's! She looks like an ecentric old woman! And the Twins' new "meet" outfits are so aweful compared to the original. I like the travel outfit but I think the skirt is a bit too short, other than that it is adorable. Am I the only one who feels this way? It's seems like everyone else loves the new Today items. The pj's are cute, but nothing I would write home about.

I do like the new bitty sleepers and things like that (just not the cheetah clothes!) For me it seems so old! Like something a "child" especially a baby would never wear.

I do love the travel outfit and the gala, I actually plan on ordering those come September 7th. If I can actually wait. I have a huge order already planned, and I actually took out some things for Samantha to get those new outfits, because I just fell in love!

I agree with you about the Cheetah outfits. I don't think a baby would really wear anything like that.
ETA: I think AG is trying to be too trendy. First the On-the-go outfit with the short-skirt and now the Sightseeing outfit? I understand it's a trend that is coming back but I don't care for it that much.

I seem to always be the person who disagrees and has a different opinion than everyone...but....I really like the Chocolate Cherry Cheetah Outfit (for the AGT's). I think it's cute. I don't think it's too Barbie-esque at all seeing as a lot of people even little girls wear Cheeatah-print around the Holiday's...believe me. [img]eek.gif[/img]

I agree on many of the bitty items. I love the sleeper. Love the cross-over set. I was really let down by the whole starter kit. The Today Cheetah set grew on me. But it won't hurt my feelings if I miss the bitty one. I have to wonder who was designing the twin sleepers. I wouldn't put that on my kid. At least not those colors.

I don't care for the paisley PJ's but will be getting the star ones for sure. I love the travel outfit. And the luggage is OK. I am IN LOVE with the gala outfit and will be getting it next month.

I agree that lots of the new items not being what I had imagined has saved me a TON of [img]graemlins/money.gif[/img] !!! DH will be glad to hear that! LOL

I haven't seen any of the bitty baby items or AGOT items, but from the pictures, I love the new crib with canopy. Not sure about the pram though. It is more like what Toys R us or KBtoy would sell. Hope the quality is better than the prams I have seen at toy stores. I don't care much about bitty outfits or AGOT outfits, but I absolutely love Felicity and Elizabeth new outfits. I can't wait till sept 7 to place my order online.

I think the AGT Cheetah dress is okay. I probably won't be getting it, though. The Bitty Cheetah dress is HORRIBLE, though. Babies should be wearing pretty smocked dresses and stuff like that. My Our New Baby and Bitty will definitely let this pass.

I love the AGT Travel outfit, though. It's so cute, and it's so something that I would wear. It's even better than the On the Go outfit, in my opinion. I was a little disappointed over the Travel accessories, though.

The AGT paisley PJs are definitely my fave over both sets of PJs. I think it's just the general look.

The Bitty Cheetah outfit is HORRID, IMHO. BUT, the Today girl one has grown on me (sigh)...

I just can't figure the Bitty one out...

And I'm not happy about the shorter skirts myself, but that's just because I would never wear them. My legs are WAY too short for short skirts; they just cut me visually in half! I love the new travel outfit; I just wish the colors were a bit stronger. It DOES seem as though the collection is inundated with PINK.

I absolutely hate the Cheetah outfits, I think they're ugly, garish, and just nasty. I don't know what on earth they were thinking when they made those. I agree with you that Bitty's looks especially ugly, she does look like an eccentric, crazy lady! I can picture the little old lady who'd wear that to be the "cat lady" of the block. But, even the AGT one is disgusting. My 9 year old would NEVER WEAR THAT IN A MILLION YEARS. You know, if I had one, lol.

To make matters worse, I really don't like the idea of AG making "fur" seem stylish to little girls. It's bad enough to see adults do it, but now little girls are going to be even more into it than before!

Also, I hate the paisley pajamas, totally ugly, too much going on, and too pink. I also hated those green ones, I'm glad to see them gone, I hated seeing them on the AG site! I do LOVE the star ones, they're simply adorable. They look so normal, almost like something a normal girl might find at Gap or Limited Too, or something, unlike the ugly paisley ones that look like something AG wouldn't even make!

I happen to really like the Sightseeing outfit. I agree they're getting a bit too trendy, but I don't mind, I dress trendy, too! But, then I'm 19, so I think it's ok for me, but not for an 8 year old. Mini skirts=not for 8 year olds. I do like that they're using popular patterns and materials in a cute, fun, childish way. I hope they make a girls' sized one of this, but they probably wont.

Has anyone else noticed that AG has an obsession with purple skirts? From the last year alone, I have...4 (maybe more) AG skirts that are either purple, or have purple as the accent color- the skirt from the new birthday outfit, the Starflower skirt, the Bowling skort, and the green one from the last meet outfit with the purple trim. And this new one also has purple! ...There are other colors to make skirts with, lol. But, thats ok, I like purple, and all of these skirts have been cute.

The Bitty Twin sleepers are the UGLIEST THINGS EVER. I don't even think I can string words together to properly write how much I hate these. The colors are ugly, the style is ugly, the velour is ugly, everything about them is ugly. I don't see anything good in them.

I do really like the gala dress, and I didn't think I would. I love how it's simplisticly plain, but NOT plain. The skirt's all poofy, and the top part looks like it's made of some really expensive, high quality material. I could do without the gloves, and probably wont use them, but the hair tie is cute, and those shoes! They LOOK like ballet flats, which are my absolute favorite shoes ever, I've got like 10 different ones [img]redface.gif[/img] I'd like to see AG make some BoHo type flats, with teensy tinsy little rhinestones, beads, and sequins.

I was also dissapointed with the Travel accessories. I was hoping it would look very realistic, and it doesn't. At all. I had it pictured like a tan messenger bag with all these cute little accessories. I think they picked bad colors for every part of this set. Pity, it could have been really cute!

Oh well, just my opinion.
